Four tees on each hole make the course very playable for all skill levels, beginner to scratch. River Ridge opened for play in late 1998, yet its verdant greens and fairways and natural design amidst the old-growth pecan and oak trees yield a One of 'The Best 18 Holes of the New Generation' - Golf Digest beauty and maturity decades older. The sixty-foot drop in elevation from the clubhouse on the primordial river ridge to the bank of the Brazos provides spectacular vistas, raised tees and greens and undulating fairways unlike anything in the greater Houston area.

Every hole is a portrait of what Texas golf ought to be. River Ridge is that good. Located on the scenic Brazos River just west of Katy, you'll fall in love with the three distinct 9-hole layouts which evoke the feel of Old World courses such as Winged Foot, Quaker Ridge, Oak Hill, Glen Eagles, and Turnberry. "Taking the game to a new level in Houston."

Words don't do it justice. Pictures can't capture the magic. Wildcat is something you have to experience.

Wildcat is Houston golf with a touch of the Hill Country... even a touch of Colorado's Rocky Mountain foothills, according to the Houston Chronicle's Eddie Sefko.

But it's pure Houston. Only ten minutes from downtown, Wildcat rises from the flat Texas terrain to create a golf experience like no other in the area:

  • 500-plus acres of dramatic elevation changes, rising as high as 100 feet
  • Tumbling fairways amidst wetlands and natural grass fields
  • Acres of seemingly countless lakes
  • Spectacular up-close panoramas of the Houston skyline

To ensure optimal playing surfaces, Wildcat golfers tread only the finest turf grasses: TifSport Bermuda covers the fairways and roughs; TifEagle Bermuda yields smooth, consistent greens.
